Directions to Camp Winnataska

Important note:  If you are using Mapquest or Google maps, Winnataska DRIVE has been labeled incorrectly. (It's not a paved road.)  The directions on these websites are accurate to Winnataska Road.  At that point, it is best to watch for signs pointing you to turn into Camp Winnataska on Winnataska Drive.  Look for a tan wooden sign that says, "Camp Winnataska, 1/4 mile on right."

If you are coming from Birmingham:

Take I-20 E (towards Atlanta) and take the BROMPTON Exit, #147. Turn RIGHT at the end of the exit ramp.

• Drive past a Chevron station on your left.
• Immediately after the Chevron station, TURN LEFT onto HIGHWAY 78.
• Turn RIGHT onto WINNATASKA ROAD. This is a small and winding road.
• As you pass COCHRAN TRAIL on the right, look for the sign that says, "Camp Winnataska, 1/4 mile on right."
• Turn RIGHT onto WINNATASKA DRIVE, at the large wooden sign.
• The parking lot for visitors is labeled and is on the left.

If you are coming from Atlanta:

Take I-20 W (towards Birmingham) and take the same exit, #147 BROMPTON. TURN LEFT at the end of the exit ramp, travel over the interstate and then follow the bulleted directions above.

If you are coming from Montgomery/Florida:

Take I-65 N (towards Birmingham) and look for the I-20 exit and then head east towards Atlanta. Then follow directions from Birmingham above.

If you are coming from Huntsville/Tennessee:

Take I-65 S (towards Birmingham) and then the I-20 exit towards Atlanta. Then follow directions from Birmingham above.
