Our Staff
Winnataska's leaders, staff and directors are the heart and soul of Camp Winnataska. Staff members are selected for their 
leadership
experience
maturity
ability
Before campers arrive, staff members under-go extensive training on safety, leadership skills, understanding campers and their needs, and camp programming. In addition, the Aquatics staff is certified in water safety, and the Ropes Course staff is certified in Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience (COPE). The Horse Program, as well, is accredited and certified. All leaders and staff are CPR certified. Our administrative staff closely supervises the youth and adult staff, bringing to the camp hundreds of years of experience.

Office Manager/Registrar
Catherine McIntosh Bentley is our office manager and registrar. She attended Winnataska as a camper, along with her twin sister. She worked as a leader, Comanche and director before helping out in the office.
She will be happy to answer your questions about registration, payments, and year-around rentals. She is best-reached by emailing info@winnataska.org.
Camp Caretaker
Mark Buerhaus resides at Camp with his family and works with user groups that visit Winnataska during the off-season. Mark worked as a leader and Blackfoot when he was younger. He has been camp's caretaker since 2009.
Summer Program Director
Courntey Tucker Beam oversees all the programming for Camp Winnataska's summer sessions. She volunteered as a leader here at camp when she was a teenager, and also worked as a Comanche. Courtney served as the Outdoors Progam Specialist in 2011 before accepting her position as Summer Program Director. Courtney can also be reached at the info@winnataska.org email address.
Summer Camp Director
Mary Margaret Stearns Shepherd is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the summer camp. She attended Winnataska as a camper, leader, Comanche, and weekly director. You are welcome to contact her with questions by emailing info@winnataska.org.
